Doctor Who was an habitual of newsgroups like alt.privacy and wrote a great FAQ for those who wish to remain anonymous on the internet. Some of the instructions are a bit outdated, this is a revised version of Doctor Who FAQ I found in Usenet, posted anonymously.

The version of Mixmaster on the FTP site does NOT work on windows XP SP3, it hsn’t for 18months since I first posted in a newsgroup and also contacted the author. He couldn’t say why it didn’t work and doesn’t know how to fix it. When mixmaster installs it says “can’t load mixlib.dll” and stops. *NO* XP users can use this program. If there is an older version I will use that as they do not have the faults and work correctly.
I used the programs for years before alterations were made to stop them working on XP. It doesn’t even work on Vista!
No one can fix the problem so you should put a discalaimer stating that it doesn’t work with Windows.
I’m quite annoyed. I’ve lost a good program.
Installing mixmaster on it’s own first or after Quicksilver doesn’t help.
Thank you for your information Geoff.
Unfortunately I can not add neither delete anything from the tutorial as I am not tha author and the small letter specifies that the tutorial can be distributed for free but not modified.
Update:
Notice that new uploaded version 1.2.2 of the remailer setup FAQ now includes “Hints and Tricks” which could solve some error messages given by Windows.
